GB9209 - Philippe Geiss Xiwind: Wind stories, for alto saxophone. Original contemporary work for alto saxophone. Commissioned by the 'Tous en scene' festival in Dreux, France, 2012. Xiwind is the name of an imaginary wind that blows all around the world changing character as it does. Each performer will find his own individual way to highlight the contrasts between the different sections of the piece.
