The book is divided into two parts. The first part discusses in detail the requirements of developing the ear of a jazz musician. It explains the three levels of player from mediocre up to advanced. The 22 exercises are designed to devlope the player's ear along jazz lines. The second part of the book concentrates on intervals. An accompanying cassette provides examples following the progression of excercises as listed in the book.
