Ludwig van Beethoven Symphony No. 3 in Eb major Op55: Eroica - Urtext of the New Complete Edition edited by Bathia Churgin. Exploring the Eroica is the name of the essay with which the editor made herself known back in 1998 and which contributed decisively to the research into the complex transmission. Written in 1803, the autograph of the work is lost today. The title Sinfonia Eroica is already found in the first edition (but only there as well).
