The Academy Piano Course book 3 covers grades 2 and 3 and includes pieces previously listed on exam syllabuses. Major and minor keys and scales are taught gradually with reinforcement pieces included. Harmonic theory pages help widen understanding of pieces to be played, and open the door to improvisation. Sight-reading is added to develop pattern reading and there are additional theory pages.
