In this piece, a melodic structure which consists of certain intervals is compressed to such an extent that only quarter tones of the melody are left - and afterwards, it is stretched in such a way as to make the intervals recognizable again. The title zoom is meant to illustrate this compressing and stretching process. This piece requires new playing techniques which result in unusual sound qualities.
